Yes, this kit is fully compatible with A/C and power steering!
To cool the air going through the supercharger, you will need the following extra items to complete this kit. We don’t include them because the parts will depend on your setup and how you wish to plumb and mount things. You can use factory Audi™ parts for the heat exchanger and water pump, or go with OEM aftermarket ones on eBay™ etc.
- Air to water heat exchanger
- 3/4″ coolant lines to plumb to/from the supercharger, heat exchanger, and water pump
- Auxiliary water pump (this cycles coolant through the supercharger and heat exchanger
- Coolant overflow tank (we recommend using a Toyota™ Camry EV coolant tank. It has the proper size ports in and out)
Good question! We can only say for sure that it fits under the hood of a V6 swapped Honda Element, and the Acura MDX. We plan on making a kit for the newer Honda Pilot (direct injection) so we’ll be able to report on that once its done. If this is going in an Acura TL, or a Honda Accord, or V6 swapped civic – you will most likely need to cut a hole in the hood.
With the pulley that comes on the supercharger from the factory (you provide, it is not included in the kit):
- Factory size crank pulley: about 12-14 pounds of boost.
- Underdrive crank pulley: aout 8-10 pounds of boost.
There are a lot of vendors out there that will custom make a supercharger pulley for this supercharger to adjust the amount of boost.
The only thing you’ll need to fabricate is an intake tube. Since the supercharger inlet turns towards the rear of the engine bay, you’ll need to use the supplied flanges (one supercharger and one for the throttle body you select during ordering) and then grab a 120˚ bend tube to fabricate an intake tube.
It really depends on how handy you are with tools. If you’re purchasing this kit, you probably know your way around an engine bay. We would suggest setting aside a couple of hours to do this install.
